Police arrested three people on domestic-violence charges in separate incidents Wednesday.

Police arrested Daniel Noday, 36, about 9:10 a.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Wellington Avenue, where reports said he was arguing with the mother of his child and she told police he put his hands on her neck.

The woman had marks on her neck, but when she was told she could not drop the charges, she stopped filling out a complaint form, reports said. She then asked officers what would happen if she changed her story. They told her Noday still would be arrested, reports said.

Police arrested Marilyn Tubbs, 31, of Woodcrest Avenue, about 11:05 a.m. after a man at a home in the 600 block of Mabel Avenue said they were arguing about things she was taking as she was moving out. The man claimed Tubbs knocked him out of his wheelchair.

About 10 p.m., Elaine Strong, 55, Bonnie Brae Avenue, was arrested after her daughter claimed the two were fighting, and Strong hit her daughter with a cup several times. After the cup broke, Strong continued hitting her daughter with it, reports said.

The daughter was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and told police there her mother did not hit her, but Strong still was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
