A free training webinar is available for manufacturers interested in learning the benefits of employees certified by the Manufacturing Skill Standard Council. The webinar will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. June 11.

Sponsored by the Oh-Penn Manufacturing Collaborative, the agenda includes how manufacturers can reduce training time, reduce turnover and save money by employing MSSC-certified employees.

Eat’n Park Restaurants is kicking off a monthlong Smiley’s Birthday Party celebration in June featuring 99-cent kids’ meals and a number of appearances by Smiley at Eat’n Park restaurants. Smiley’s birthday celebration will begin Monday and end June 30.

Each kids’ meal includes a free Smiley treat bag as well as a Smiley cookie.

Indoor firearms range opens in area

AUSTINTOWN

The Training Range, an indoor firearms range, had its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday. The range, at 4455 Mahoning Ave., is the first purpose-built indoor firearms range in the Youngstown area in more than 30 years. Designed and built for law-enforcement training, it also is open to the general public. It features 10 lanes for any type of firearms training.

The Ohio Association of REALTORS reported the number of single-family homes and condominiums put under agreement in April increased 15 percent from the level posted during April 2014.

The rate of purchase-contract signings in April rose 3.2 percent from the market’s March 2015 pace.

Google’s offer: Get unlimited free photo and video storage

Google is willing to store and organize all of the world’s digital photos and videos for free.

The online photo service announced Thursday is the latest example of Google’s desire to wrap its tentacles around virtually every part of people’s lives.

Google will provide unlimited storage of all photos up to 16 megapixels and high-definition video up to 1080p.

The service, called Google Photos, will be available as an app on Android and Apple devices, and on a website, http://photos.google.com.

Neverland Ranch for sale for $100M

Neverland Ranch is up for sale.

The California property that once served as Michael Jackson’s home and personal fantasyland is being listed at $100 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The 2,700-acre ranch in Santa Ynez Valley features such amenities as a train station, six-bedroom house, 50-seat movie theater and a pair of lakes, It has been in limbo since Jackson’s death in 2009.
