ODOT announces Youngstown road work changes
YOUNGSTOWN — Starting Saturday, U.S. Route 62 westbound between South and Himrod avenues will be closed for bridge repairs from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Also, the entrance ramp from Himrod Avenue to 62 westbound will remain closed until July for bridge construction. The detour is Lane Avenue to Rayen Avenue to Albert Street.
The 62 bridge between South and Himrod avenues, over the Mahoning River, Poland Avenue, Cedar Street, and the railroad is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge repairs.
This work is part of a $17 million project to make repairs to the 62 bridge. The work is scheduled to be finished by November 2016.
