New Director of Instruction, Principal named to Boardman Schools

The Boardman Local Schools have chosen a new Director of Instruction for the 2015/2016 school year.

Jared Cardillo, current Boardman High School principal, will be replacing Linda Ross at the end of this school year. Ross has served as the Director of Instruction for the past nine years, with the last four years as a retire/rehired administrator. Assistant High School principal, Cynthia Fernback will be replacing Cardillo as the head principal at the high school.

Cardillo, a Boardman graduate, has been serving the district for 18 years as a teacher and administrator. Fernback has been a staple of the district with 17 years as a high school English teacher and three years as an administrator. She is the first female High School principal in Boardman.

“We congratulate these three administrators as they enter a new phase in their career. I have great confidence in these two gifted administrators as they accept new challenges. Mr. Cardillo and Mrs. Fernback will continue the tradition of excellence our community has come to expect,” said superintendent, Frank Lazzeri.
