Boardman woman faces multiple charges for impaired driving

BOARDMAN — A township woman who police say was driving with nine open driving suspensions faces multiple charges after she was arrested for impaired driving.

Police stopped Amy Sorvillo, 39, of East Parkside Drive, after she ignored commands to stop at a sobriety checkpoint on U.S. Route 224 near Marinthana Avenue on Sunday and reportedly drove through it at a high rate of speed.

When police stopped her near Market Street, they reportedly observed her wearing only one shoe and exhibiting signs of intoxication.

They also discovered that she was under nine open driving suspensions and had not possessed a valid driver's license since February 2009.
