Boy, 10, drowns in pool at eastern Pennsylvania home

NAZARETH, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 10-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool in eastern Pennsylvania over the holiday weekend.

Officials in Northampton County said Aedan Kelley of Sinking Spring had been swimming in the Upper Nazareth Township pool about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Township police said the boy went under the water for about two to three minutes until he was pulled out. Police said several people were trying to perform CPR when emergency responders arrived.

The boy was taken Easton Hospital and later to Lehigh Valley Hospital, where the Lehigh County coroner’s office said he was pronounced dead Monday evening at the hospital.
