Benedict and Lisa Belcik of Girard are announcing the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Ashley Belcik of Girard, and Ryan Fitch of Howland. He is the son of Donald and Darlene Fitch of Champion.

The couple’s open wedding will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 8 at St. Rose Church. Invitations will be extended for a reception to follow at W.D. Packard Music Hall in Warren.

The bride-elect graduated from Kent State University with a degree in middle-childhood education. She teaches fifth grade in the Girard City Schools.

The prospective groom graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in elementary education. He teaches seventh grade at the Joseph Badger Schools in Kinsman.
