Pa. police seek resident after 4 dogs found dead at home

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Police in western Pennsylvania are searching for the resident of a Pittsburgh home where four dead dogs have been found.

Public safety officials say police officers were sent to the home about noon Friday after neighbors phoned about a foul odor in the home in the Beechview neighborhood.

Authorities said the officers found the bodies of four dogs: two pit bulls, a terrier mix and a Rottweiler.

An emaciated pit bull was removed and officials say they hope it can be nursed back to health.

Police are urging the resident — whose name wasn’t released — to come forward and talk to investigators.
