OVI Task Force checkpoints are tonight in Boardman

BOARDMAN — The Mahoning County Operating a Vehicle Impaired Task Force, in conjunction with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, will conduct two checkpoints tonight and early Sunday morning.

The first will be from 10 p.m. to midnight at South and Larkridge avenues. The second will be from 1 to 3 a.m. Sunday at U.S. Route 224 and Marinthana Avenue. The task force will be looking for motorists driving impaired.

The task force urges motorists to make arrangements to get home safely if they are planning on drinking alcohol.
