Simply Slavic Fest seeks volunteers

YOUNGSTOWN

The fifth annual Simply Slavic festival is seeking volunteers of every age, skill and ability. The festival will be June 20 from noon to 11 p.m. on East Federal Street, downtown.

Help is needed for everything from setup and takedown to ticket sales, helping with the baking contest, and assisting in cultural display and children’s areas. Various two-hour shifts are available. Every volunteer gets free admission and a T-shirt.

Arms museum, Tyler change hours

The Arms Family Museum on Wick Avenue and the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, downtown, will have new hours beginning Tuesday. Both will be open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The Archives Library at the Tyler will be open Tuesday-Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
