Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will have a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 9 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. in Canfield. Aaron Young, new executive director of Mill Creek MetroParks, is slated to speak. The menu is roast pork, pasta shells with Alfredo sauce, rice pilaf, buttered peas, salad, rolls, coffee or tea, and strawberry shortcake. Goldwing Road Rider Association, Chapter M Ohio, will meet Saturday at the Yankee Kitchen on Market Street in Boardman. Dinner will be at 5 p.m., and a gathering will take place at 6.
Newcomers of Mahoning Valley will have its May luncheon Wednesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection is hosting a “Warmth of the Summer” luncheon and program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 10 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Krakus Polish Deli & Bakery will be featured, and Donnie and Linda Abraham will provide music. Letitia Hicks of Stoutsville, Ohio, will talk about “Rule No. 1, Plan Well; No. 2, Have Backup Plan; and No. 3, Be Flexible.” The cost for the luncheon is $13.50.
