Cleary gets 20 years to life for Struthers murder

YOUNGSTOWN — Roy Cleary was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court today for the murder last fall of Mark Westfall, 56, at the Struthers Manor complex in Struthers.

Judge Shirley J. Christian sentenced Cleary to 15 years to life for the murder and five years on a charge of aggravated robbery.

Police said Cleary stole prescription medication from Westfall and stabbed him several times.

He then fled and was caught in Pittsburgh.
