Shots fired on Palmer Avenue

Police reports said no one was injured after several shots were fired at a man in the 700 block of Palmer Avenue about 12:47 p.m. Wednesday.

A woman told police someone in a passing vehicle fired several shots at her son with a rifle as he was leaving her home. He was not injured. Police found a bullet in the siding of the woman's home, reports said. The woman told police her son was shot last year at a restaurant at Market Street and Southern Boulevard but she was not sure if Wednesday's shooting was related to that, reports said.

A mail carrier also approached police and told them she found a bullet hole in her mail vehicle when she finished her rounds, reports said. A spent bullet was found under the driver's seat of the mail vehicle, reports said.
