JULY 3-5

Packard Legacy Weekend, National Packard Museum and Packard Park, 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Noon-5 p.m. July 3 and 5, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 4. The event celebrating the design and engineering of the Packard Automobile offers how-to demonstrations, lectures, exhibits, and music. This year’s event will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the dedication of Packard Park. “Packard Day” on July 4 will include family-friendly games and events in Packard Park prior to the W.D. Packard Band Concert and fireworks on the South Lawn. The “All Makes Cruise In” car show hosted by Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club will be 1-5 p.m. and a gala concert by the Big Band Sounds of Packard will close the weekend on July 5. All outside events are free. Admission for the museum is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+) and children 7-12.

Ellwood City Festival, Ewing Park, 330 Sims St., Ellwood City, Pa. Daily highlights include Little Miss and Little Mr. Firecracker Pageant July 3; Ellwood City Ledger 10k race, July 4; and Zambelli Fireworks display 10 p.m. July 5. New Castle Fireworks Festival featuring Arts on the Riverwalk, E. Washington St., downtown New Castle. Slovenefest, SNPJ Recreation Center, Enon Valley, Pa. slovenefest.com. Ethnic food, music and culture celebrates the fun of Slovenia. 11th Annual 1890 Re-Enactment Festival, 147 E.
