Man is arrested after break-in

WARREN

Anthony M. Robinson, 20, of High Street Northeast, is in the Trumbull County jail without eligibility to make bond after he was arrested Tuesday after a break-in.

A Linden Avenue Northeast woman, 26, said she awoke at 2 a.m. Tuesday to Robinson and another man wearing masks in her home. The two demanded money, but she grabbed the mask off of one, and both men headed toward the door.

The woman said she grabbed a knife and cut the hand of the man who had the mask. Both men got into a car.

Police later made a traffic stop of a car matching a description the woman gave, and items from the woman’s house were found. Robinson was one of two people in the car. A not-guilty plea was entered for him.

The other man, James Seaquist, 21, also of High Street, was charged with receiving stolen property. He pleaded not guilty, and bond of $2,500 was set.

Police close to filing charges in altercation

GIRARD

Police say they are close to completing their investigation and filing charges related to a fight on Church Hill Road.

A man called police at 10:35 a.m. Monday, saying he had been in a fight on Church Hill because the driver of a truck went through a stop sign at Church Hill and Townsend Avenue and nearly hit him. The car’s driver said he turned his vehicle around to confront the truck driver. He passed the truck on Church Hill and got in front of it to get the other driver to stop, he told police.

Both drivers got out of their vehicles, with the car’s driver saying he grabbed the truck driver, but the truck driver threw the first punch.

The car driver was taken to ValleyCare Northside Medical Center for treatment of injuries to his elbow and knee. No information was contained in the report regarding the truck driver, who it said was not identified.
