Youngstown Rotary attends conference

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Rotary District 6650 presented annual club awards April 24 and 25 during its district conference in Wooster, Ohio. Among Rotary Club of Youngstown members attending the event were, above from left, Debbie Esbenshade, past district governor, who received a citation for meritorious service; Paul Garchar, president; Elayne Bozik, Rotary Foundation chairwoman; and Scott Schulick, immediate past president. Other district awards received by the club were Bryce Kendall Award — Best Club Avenue of Service Project for “Rotary Club of Youngstown Centennial”; Emmett Riley Award — Best Club Literacy Project, “The Little Free Library”; Jack Vogel Award — Best Club Public Relations; Jack Maxwell Award — runner-up for Best Club Bulletin, “The Clatter”; and a special citation for support of Rotary International’s Polio Plus polio-eradication campaign.
