Struthers Rotary hears speaker from charity

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Struthers Rotary President Kevin Freisen welcomed Sheila Williams of Ronald McDonald House Charities to the April 21 meeting of the club. Williams discussed the history of the charity and its various activities. RMHC of Mahoning Valley & Western Pennsylvania funds the McFamily Respite Centers at Akron Children’s Hospital Beeghly Campus and at the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. The organization also funds the Give-A-Coat program, which provided more than 1,480 children with new coats in 2013. A scholarship program has been established beginning with the 2014-15 school year.
