Fernback will replace Cardillo as Boardman High School principal

BOARDMAN — High School Principal Jared Cardillo will move to the position of Director of Instruction for Boardman Schools at the end of this school year, the district announced Tuesday.

Cardillo replaces Dr. Linda Ross, who has been in the position for the last nine years. Four of those years were served after she retired and was rehired.

Assistant High School Principal Cynthia Fernback will replace Cardillo as high school principal. She will be the district’s first female high school principal.

“We congratulate these three administrators as they enter a new phase in their career,” Superintendent Frank Lazzeri said in a statement.

“I have great confidence in these two gifted administrators as they accept new challenges. Mr. Cardillo and Mrs. Fernback will continue the tradition of excellence our community has come to expect,” he said.
