Gino's Drive Thru employee robbed Monday night

YOUNGSTOWN — A clerk at Gino's Drive Thru, 988 E. Midlothian Blvd., was sprayed in the face with pepper spray during a robbery attempt at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The clerk told police he was in the drive-thru when a man with part of his face covered walked in holding a gun and demanded money.

The robber sprayed an employee as the employee was taking cash out of the register, reports said.

The robber grabbed some money and ran out the back door, reports said, toward Shady Run Road.
