Canfield Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a quarter auction June 4 at Drake’s Landing, 2177 Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Hors d’oeuvres and a wine taste will start at 6 p.m., and the auction will begin at 7. Doors will be open at 5:30. Take quarters or buy them at the auction. A $25 donation includes an auction paddle. Featured will be patriotic items, wine baskets, antiques and more. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a handgun raffle. Legacy Dog Rescue and Friends of Fido are sponsoring a quarter auction fundraiser, Change for Pups, on Thursday at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the auction begins at 6. It will feature more than 90 prizes, gift baskets and door prizes. Tickets cost $5 and include a soft drink, snack, bidding paddle and door prize ticket. Pizza slices will be sold for $1. For information or tickets, call 330-507-2584.

FLEA MARKETS

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and each Tuesday into October, weather permitting. Vendors can set up early in the large spaces, which cost $5 each. Refreshments are available.

SALES

East Palestine Area Historical Society is seeking vendors for its Community Yard Sale, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 13 at the society, 555 Bacon Ave. The event is open to individuals, organizations, clubs, churches, youth and civic groups selling rummage items and collectibles, and commercial and craft vendors. Vendors can rent an outdoor area (approximately 15-by-15 feet) for $10. Sellers will need to take their own tables and other set-up displays. Setup will begin at 8 a.m. and tear-down, at 3 p.m. Call 330-271-1979 or any society member for a contract or information. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. Just in for women are sizes 3X, 4X and 5X. Some wedding attire is available. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays.

Poland Lions Club is seeking vendors for its Trunk Sale on Saturday. The cost for a space is $10. Call 330-360-3641.

TRIPS

Trumbull County Travel Club’s next day trip will be on June 4 to Blue Stone Perennial’s greenhouse clearance sale, which takes place only once a year. Lunch is included at the Cornerstone Brewery plus a candy store stop and wine taste. An Oct. 20-24 motor coach trip to Williamsburg, Va., and Washington, D.C., is in place as well as a two-day trip to Lancaster, Pa., June 9 and 10.
