Groups co-host night of comedy
BOARDMAN
The Youngstown Spanish Heritage Festival and Pride Youngstown will co-host A Night of Comedy on June 26 at the Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Headliners are Sampson McCormick and Dana Austin.
McCormick is the author of “A Perspective on Being Gay In Black America.”
Austin was a regular opening act at the Cleveland Improv.
The fundraiser includes a buffet-style dinner and a cash bar. Local performers as opening acts including drag queen Ahrinstarr.

Juried art exhibit is seeking entries

Entries will be accepted now until Sept. 9 for Community Artworks Regional Art Exhibit, a juried show to take place at Art Outreach Gallery in Eastwood Mall from Oct. 4 through Nov. 8.

The juror for this year’s exhibit is Mary Ann Breisch, executive director at Valley Art Center, Chagrin Falls.
A total of $650 in prize money will be awarded.
The exhibit is open to adults 18 and over, with works in all media.
