Police are investigating a report from a jogger who said she escaped from a man who was chasing her Sunday morning.
Township police said the woman was jogging on Airport Road when she was approached by a man in a truck asking for directions, reported Vindicator news partner 21 WFMJ-TV.
When the jogger told the man she couldn’t help him, he got out of the truck and began walking toward her, telling her to “come here,” WFMJ reported.
The woman was able to run to a nearby home, where a call was made to 911.
The man got into his truck and drove away.
Several officers checked the area for the truck but couldn’t find it.
The suspect is described as a clean-cut white male with a thin build, in his late 40s, and having short hair or being bald.
He was wearing a baseball cap.
The truck is described as a royal blue, short-bed truck with chrome trim, possibly a 2014 or 2015.
Anyone who may have seen the truck or can help identify the suspect is asked to contact the Champion Police Department at 330-847-9363.
