Teen drowns

ELLWOOD CITY, PA.

A 15-year-old boy drowned Friday evening when he fell into Connoquenessing Creek along River Road in Perry Township, Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle reported. Troopers said Austin Hines was walking with a 14-year-old friend when he fell in around 7 p.m. He was found in the creek at 8:30 p.m. a short distance from where he fell in.

Mahoning County Board of Elections invites the public to view and download maps of the proposed precinct outlines and changes at the office or at vote.mahoningcountyoh.gov/precinct-reductionadjustment-proposals. The changes will affect Campbell and Canfield cities, and Austintown, Boardman, Beaver, Milton, Poland, Springfield and Canfield townships. Director Joyce Kale-Pesta and Deputy Director Thomas P. McCabe presented the maps board May 4. The board is asking for public comments at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the elections board at Oak Hill Renaissance Place.
