SENIOR CITIZENS


AARP Chapter 4611 executive board will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 614 Parmelee Ave., Youngstown. The regular meeting will follow at noon. There will be a memorial service for deceased members, and the Rev. Jack Pettis of Mount Zion Baptist Church will be the speaker. A 50-50 raffle will take place. Guests are welcome. Coitsville Seniors will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Bedford Trails Golf Course Restaurant, on Bedford Road in Coitsville. Members may order from the menu. President Jane Orlo will preside. Devotions will be read, and birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, followed by the singing of a Polish song, Sto lat (may you live 100 years). Members who have not paid their dues may do so at this meeting. A 50-50 drawing will be followed by card bingo.

Croatian Pensioners will meet for an 11 a.m. Mass on Thursday at the Croatian Home, Vestal Road, followed by a Founder’s Day program. The cost for a buffet dinner is $10 for members and $12 for guests. Reservations are due Monday; call 330-793-3458 or 330-757-2024.

Liberty 55-Plus Club will meet for its annual Mother’s Day catered luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church, Cardinal Drive, Liberty. The meal will begin at 1 p.m. LeeAnne Martyak will preside, and hostesses are Vi Castor and Audrey Dagan. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and May birthdays will be acknowledged.

OBES Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for lunch at Perkins Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All OBES retirees are welcome.
