AUSTINTOWN

Shepherd of the Valley will co-host a job fair for health- care professions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Inn, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Life Fleet Ambulance, Windsor House, Caprice Health Care Center, Greenbriar Healthcare Center, Camelot Arms and other agencies will be there to recruit, interview and hire on-site. Label Shopper opens

WARREN

Label Shopper, an off-price retailer based in Albany, N.Y., recently opened at 2093 Elm Road NE. The company carries juniors, misses, plus sizes, men’s, shoes and accessories.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Expo, trade show set

LISBON

A Business Expo & Trade Show will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. July 28 at the Columbiana County Career & Technical Center, 9364 state Route 45.

The event, presented by the Columbiana County Area Chambers of Commerce, includes reasonable exhibitor rates, a chance for businesses to meet new customers, network, present products and recruit.

Exhibit table fees are $50 for chamber members, and $100 for nonmembers. Extra tables are $25 each.

‘Networking at Noon’

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will have a “Networking at Noon” event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. Reservations are required; call the chamber at 330-337-3473. The event is $20 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers.

8 drill permits issued

YOUNGSTOWN

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources issued eight horizontal-drilling permits in the Utica shale during the week ending May 9. None of the permits was issued in the Mahoning Valley. The rig count was at 26 rigs. Of the 1,896 permits issued, there are 1,479 of them drilled with 868 of them producing.

America Makes announcement

YOUNGSTOWN

America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, along with Optomec, TechSolve, and MachMotion, announced the first legacy CNC machine tool, a Fadal Vertical Mill, upgraded with LENS Æ 3DP, an advanced 3-D metal additive manufacturing technology. The private event took place in Cincinnati at TechSolve’s headquarters and is sponsored by Lockheed Martin, and the U.S. Army Ben t Labs. CNC Machining is a process used in the manufacturing sector that involves the use of computers to control machine tools.
