For the deaf

Gospel Baptist Church, 6235 Clingan Road, Poland, plans a revival geared to the deaf community that will feature a deaf evangelist. The events are free. A voice interpreter will be provided.

Guest evangelist: Allen Snare of Silent Word Ministries, Trenton, Ga., a deaf evangelist, will be featured. Silent Word Ministries, founded in 1996, is an evangelistic outreach that specializes in ministry to the deaf and helps churches establish deaf ministries.

May 30: A potluck dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. with meet and greet for Snare. Participants are asked to provide a covered dish or salad to share.

May 31: Snare will preach at deaf Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning service at 11 a.m. and evening service at 6 p.m.

June 1: Service at 7 p.m.

June 2: Movie, “When Silence Speaks,” featuring Snare at 7 p.m.
