Musicians team up for fundraiser event

The third annual Creative Bridge Coalition fundraiser will take place Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Fireplace Lounge, featuring music by more than a dozen of the region’s top artists, and collector’s items that will be prizes in a silent auction.

Performers will include Maureen Collins, Leanne Binder, Mike Adams (Great Pretenders and Common Ground), Bill Bodine (Citations and Brainchild), Jill Carmichael (Special Forces), Jim Gerlach (Insights), Mike Gismondi (Michael Stanley Band), Joe Kluchar (Citations), Mel Pachuta (Human Beingz), Patsy Palumbo (Left End), Nick Salpietra (Great Lakes Band), John Sferra (Glass Harp), Rick Young (Special Forces and Ohio Players), DJ Carl Severino and Doug Thomas (Mainstreet Lions).

Michael Kermec will be the host.

Items available in the silent auction include a guitar autographed by Paul McCartney; a drum head autographed by Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band; a photograph autographed by the judges of “The Voice”; the lyrics to the song “Hotel California” autographed by the members of The Eagles; a drawing of Bart Simpson autographed by Matt Groening; the lyrics to “Moves Like Jagger” autographed by the members of Maroon 5; and a guitar autographed by Kevin Martin and Adam Kury of Candlebox.

Tickets are $30 at the door, and $25 in advance (call Linda at 330-518-5872).

The event will raise funds for Creative Bridge Coalition’s programs that bring music-based education to special-needs children in the Mahoning Valley.
