Mini glassware at museum

WARREN

A collection of Depression-era and carnival glass is on display at the Sutliff Museum through June.

During the Depression era, Hocking Glass Co. made a full-size pattern glass that was called Cameo “Dancing Girl” or “Ballerina.”

Mosser Glass of Cambridge, Ohio, adapted this pattern to create a child’s miniature table-set line in remarkably detailed heirloom quality. This miniature line of glassware was made with the same quality and durability of the full-size glassware. Each piece is hand poured with strict attention to detail.

The carnival-glass pieces include three pieces from the Jeannette Glass Co. of Jeannette, Pa., and a Fenton Carnival glass bowl or dish with the Persian Medallion pattern on the interior bowl and the bearded berry pattern on the exterior.

The Sutliff Museum is on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library at 444 Mahoning Ave. Admission is free. Go to sutliffmuseum.org for hours.
