Two separate shootings probed by cops

YOUNGSTOWN
Police issued warrants for two people Thursday in one of two shootings they are investigating.
Chief of Detectives Brad Blackburn said detectives are searching for a man and a woman suspected in the shooting of Larry Robinson, 50, of Bott Street, who was wounded about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Street and Madison Avenue, near the Youngstown State University dorms, as he was driving an SUV.
Fire reports said firefighters on duty at Fire Station 7, which is at the intersection, heard several shots, looked outside and saw Robinson’s SUV crash into a building.
Firefighters saw a woman jump out of a van, run up to the SUV, fire three shots inside, then get back in the van, which drove off, reports said.
Blackburn said police believe the woman is the shooter and the man is the driver of the van. He did not want to release their names until they are arrested.
At about 1:10 a.m. Thursday, police were called to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where Jermylyn White, 21, was being treated for a gunshot wound.
Blackburn said White told officers he was walking in the 900 block of Woodford Avenue when someone shot him from a passing vehicle.
Both men are being treated at St. Elizabeth.
