Leavittsburg man who shot cousin charged with reckless homicide

WARREN — Thomas A. Catalde Jr., the Leavittsburg man who admitted to shooting his cousin to death at his Ruth Avenue home Saturday night, is in the Trumbull County jail, charged with reckless homicide.

If convicted, Catalde, 28, could get five years in prison.

He told police he shot Jesse A. Hayes, 15, of Parma, by accident while showing him a shotgun.
