STORM UPDATE | City fire started when fallen tree falls on power line

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire reports said a tree that fell on a power line about 9:20 p.m. Monday caused a fire in the attic of a South Side home.

Crews were called to 430 W. Hylda Ave. and when they arrived the people who lived there were already out of the house, reports said.

Reports said the tree falling on the power caused a short in the attic, which caused the fire. Damage is listed at $2,500. No one was injured.
