STORM UPDATE | Damage closes down 2 Poland schools

POLAND — McKinley Elementary and the middle school are closed today due to damage caused by Monday night's storm.

Village crews are out at the site clearing fallen branches and several trees knocked down during the storm.

The crew said they were out on College Street, where the middle school is located, last night and helped one resident get into her home.

Trees and branches also fell onto a car parked outside of the middle school, shattering the windshield.

The road is open and the crew is directing traffic around the clean-up site.

Crews also are out at other sites in the village where there is storm damage and debris blocking roadways.

The other Poland schools are open today.
