Some 100 officers participated in weekend Warren Shield blitz


WARREN — More than 100 officers from agencies across Ohio, who traveled to Trumbull County last weekend, made arrests and gun and drug seizures and checked on probationers.

They focused on drug interdiction, removing impaired drivers and enforcing traffic laws.

The Ohio Adult Parole Authority conducted 30 home visits with assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Special Response Team. Three arrests were made for various parole violations, along with one gun seizure and one drug seizure.

The U.S. Marshals, along with the state patrol’s SRT, served 12 warrants and arrested 12 people.

The Ohio Investigative Unit made nine arrests for violations including drug possession, food stamp fraud, illegal alcohol sales, and after hours consumption and delivery of beer.
