Man shot at on East Side


YOUNGSTOWN — Police continue investigating a report of a 29-year-old man who was not injured after someone fired several shots at his car early Monday morning on an East Side street.

Police were called to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital about 4:35 a.m. for a report of a car shot up.

The driver told police he was at Shehy Avenue and Oak Street when a vehicle came up behind him and he heard gunfire. The man told police he could feel bullets hitting his car, and he drove to the hospital to make sure he was not hurt.

Police counted eight bullet holes in the car.
