Assault trial underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court

YOUNGSTOWN — Opening statements are underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court before Judge Maureen Sweeney in the case of Jerome Given, 53, of Youngstown.

Given is accused of wounding Charles Pete on July 11 of last year.

A jury was picked Monday to hear the case.
