YSU trustees implement ACE pact
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University trustees implemented a tentative agreement with the university’s classified employees union that union members rejected last week by a wide margin.
Trustees voted 7-0, with members Drs. Sudershan Garg and John Jakubek absent, to implement the contract terms at a special board meeting this afternoon. The full board vote followed approval and recommendation by the University Affairs Committee.
The resolution passed declared an impasse and implemented the terms.
The university wants to implement changes in the contract by July 1, according to the resolution.
