Trio arrested for weapon, gun possession after Campbell traffic stop

CAMPBELL — Three Youngstown residents will appear in court Tuesday on weapons and drug charges.

On Friday, Albert Coffer, 26, was detected speeding on Gladstone Avenue, according to a police report. Lamar Armstrong, 28; Jasmine Harrison, 24; and her young daughter were passengers in the vehicle.

Coffer eventually stopped on 6th Street. Police smelled marijuana emitting from the car, and conducted a search of the vehicle. Armstrong was found to be possessing a torn plastic bag. Police also found a burnt marijuana blunt and a loaded handgun in the vehicle.

All three were charged with drug paraphernalia, drug possession and carrying concealed weapons.

Coffer was cited for speed and driving under a license forfeiture suspension. He and Armstrong were also charged for having weapons while under a disability for prior offenses. Harrison was charged with child endangerment.

She was taken to Mahoning County jail while the other two are held in Campbell City jail.

The child was released to a family member.
