Thunderstorm knocks down power lines in Washingtonville

A fast-moving thunderstorm knocked down some trees and power lines on state Route 14 in Washingtonville shortly past 7:30 p.m.

Downed power lines also were reported in other parts of Columbiana County and portions of Mahoning County. A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for Mahoning until 8:15 p.m.
