Man cited for gun after firing warning shot

YOUNGSTOWN — A West Side man was cited about 10:40 p.m. Sunday for discharging a firearm in city limits after he told police he fired a warning shot in the air while chasing a juvenile he suspected of breaking into his car.

Police were called to the 300 block of South Bon Air Avenue where Peter Horvath, 30, said he discovered the break in and chased a male juvenile thorough several yards and fired a warning shot when the juvenile refused to stop.

The juvenile was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center. Horvath was given a citation with his court date.
