Judge sentences Kerr to life: 'There's no hope for you'

YOUNGSTOWN — Paul Kerr, 48, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole by Judge R. Scott Krichbaum today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for the murder last fall of Lenzie Morgan, 49.

Kerr was convicted Friday by a jury that spent parts of three days deliberating.

Morgan was shot by Kerr during in Morgan's Shady Run Road home Sept. 30. Morgan died from his wounds Oct. 15.

Citing Kerr's past criminal record, Judge Krichbaum said "There is no hope for you."
