Isaiah 49, Inc. schedules a conference for women

FARRELL, PA.
Isaiah 49, Inc. will sponsor a Women’s Conference featuring the theme “I Love Me Better Than That” on Wednesday and Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church, 909 Lee Ave. The focus will be Empowering Families through Women.
Registrations will take place from 8:20 to 9 a.m. both days. Workshop sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., and the evening service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5. Online registrations can be made at www.isaiah49inc.org.
Workshop sessions are open to all women during the day, and the evening service is open to families and the community at large.
Sessions will address abuse, finances, health, empowerment, self-esteem and education.

Dr. Drey Kharem, Ph.D., education consultant, retired professor from Penn State University: “Live Stress-free with your HM3 — Health, Marriage, Men and Money”
Yvonne Pope, pastor of Strong Tower Faith Temple Church, Yonkers, N.Y.: “The Believer’s Authority”
Dr. Francene Haymon, Ph.D., retired professor from Slippery Rock University: “Depression: The Mental Pain That Shades Everything”
Sarah Burdett, LPC, MA: “Parenting”
Arnita Dukes, first lady of New Hope Baptist Church: “Loving Yourself.”
The featured guest will be Shirley Murdock, recording artist, playwright and activist for change, and her husband, the Rev. Dale DeGroat. She will sing her hit song, “I Love Me Better Than That.”
There is no cover charge for the conference, but a free-will offering will be accepted.
Isaiah 49, Inc. was established December 2011 with the main goal to assist with education, training and employment for individuals and families in our community.
This goal is a response to the high rate of poverty, unemployment, underemployment and crime in the Shenango Valley and surrounding areas.
Isaiah 49 Inc. is poised to provide career services, community advocacy, mental health counseling, tutoring and youth advocacy, personal financial management, and referral services for the disenfranchised families in these communities.
