He's caught with a stolen car, an outstanding warrant and 22 pills in his underwear

YOUNGSTOWN — Corrections officers at the Mahoning County jail found 22 pills Friday inside the underwear of an Illinois Avenue man being booked into the jail for driving a stolen car.

Marquise Higgs, 26, was jailed Monday after his arraignment before Judge Elizabeth Kobly on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility.

Reports said Higgs was the driver of a car pulled over by Youngstown State University police on Armed Forces Boulevard at about 4:10 p.m. Friday after a check of the license plate found it was stolen in Columbiana County.

Higgs gave officers a false name because he knew he was wanted on a warrant, reports said.

The pills were found when Higgs was being booked into the jail, reports said.
