Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference day projects. Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 E. State St., is offering new educational and fitness activities this month. Healthy Feet, an outdoor walking program, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The group will meet at the bike trail path next to Central Park Apartments and meet every Tuesday morning. A speaker will be featured at noon Wednesday, and the topic is “Money Smart.” Cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure screening with Rashaun Speed, RN, from Mercy Health, will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday. A trip to Rivers Casino is planned for May 21 at a cost of $22. Participants get $20 in slots. Reserve and pay now. “Lunch and Learn” with Amy from Grace Hospice, topic “Hospice at Home,” will be offered at 11:45 a.m. May 22. Registration is required.
