Garden friends prepare for annual night out

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will host A Night Out at the Gardens from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 19 and 20 at the gardens’ Davis Center, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown. The event, formerly dubbed Girls Night Out at the Gardens, will feature added attractions this year. Representatives of Mill Creek MetroParks’ recreation department and the golf course will attend and help guests plan summer outings. There will be a putting contest and golf course discount offers. Guests can participate in chance and 50-50 raffles, sample hors d’oeuvres and have a complimentary glass of wine. Unique specialty vendors and new merchandise at the Shop in the Gardens will enhance the shopping experience. For tickets, which are $30 each, call 330-740-7116.
