LaBrae wins twice at MVI

The LaBrae High softball team won twice at the Mahoning Valley Invitational.

In a 7-3 win over Warren Harding, Kasey Rininger, Skyler Gilanyi, Haley Davies and Lauren Rutherford each had two hits for the Vikings.

Rininger and Morgan Meyer both drove in two runs while Davies and Rutherford scored twice.

In an 8-0 win over Mathews, Rininger had three hits, drove in four runs and scored three.

Davies also had three hits while winning pitcher Emily Dugan drove in four runs with two hits. She struck out nine and walked none. Meyer also had two hits.
