A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

March 5

Identity theft: A report of identity theft was made at a home on Oak Tree Drive. The investigation was turned over to a Georgia sheriff’s office.

April 14

Theft: Police arrested Vincent Dodgson, 22, of South Crandon Avenue, Niles, on a warrant for theft at the Neff Co., 55 Lisbon St.

April 29

Harassment/stalking: The report was taken at a home on Lisbon Street. It was referred to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s office.

May 1

Drug possession: Police arrested Christian Peck, 19, of Merri Drive, North Jackson, on a charge of drug possession.

Drug possession: Police arrested Krishchan Winters, 20, of Vienna, W.Va., on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug possession.

AUSTINTOWN

April 27

Theft: Two catalytic converters were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 50 block of South Meridian Road.

Breaking and entering: A drive-thru window was smashed out and $400 taken at Main Moon, 1502 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Five catalytic converters were cut from vehicles at Top Choice Auto Group, 220 S. Meridian Road.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls and threats were made to a person who lives in a home in the 100 block of Aldrich Road.

Criminal damaging: Someone used a key to damage the finish of a vehicle parked at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Theft: Police arrested Christopher Doll, 20, of Leavittsburg, on a theft charge, and Darin Holland, 46, of Baylor Avenue, Austintown, on a charge of complicity. Police accused the men of attempting a fraudulent return of $64.29 at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police again arrested Christopher Doll and Darin Holland on charges of theft at Walmart. Police said they purchased shelving racks and adjusted pricing tags to make them look like they were two for the price of one. The merchandise in question was at valued at $59.90.

Menacing by stalking: Juveniles were accused of stalking in the 800 block of Compass West.

Assault: An assault between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s windshield was damaged at a home in the 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

April 28

Warrant: Police arrested Billy Gaskins, 37, of Medina, on a warrant for menacing by stalking and was being held by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s office for extradition to North Olmsted.

Recovered property: A 2004 Dodge Ram was purchased in Michigan and determined to be stolen from a home in the 300 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Identity theft: The IRS reported identity theft at a home in the 1000 block of Cavalcade Drive.

Menacing: Phone threats were made to a home in the 30 block of North Navarre Avenue.

Drug offense: Police arrested Michael Whitted, 23, of Idora Avenue, Youngstown, on a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

April 29

Felonious assault: A male and female were involved in an altercation at an apartment in the 800 block of Compass West.

Burglary: A television was taken from a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Identity theft: Two unauthorized transactions to a Home Savings and Loan account were reported by a person who lives in a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Theft: A black LG tablet was stolen at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Police arrested Alexandria Kennedy, 20, of John Street, Youngstown, and Brittany Williams,19, of Compass West, on charges of theft of $52.88 in merchandise from Walmart.

April 30

Telecommunications harassment: There is a suspect in telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Bradley Lawrence, 29, of Red Fox Drive, Warren, for possession of two prescription pills.

Burglary: An undetermined amount of money was taken from a home in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Amanda Dye, 24, of Innwood Drive, for possession of marijuana.

May 1

Theft: A 2005 trailer was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized transactions to a debit card were reported by a person who lives in a home in the 1000 block of South Turner Road.

Identity theft: A victim’s information was used to open a cable TV account at a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Aggravated menacing: There is a suspect in a case of aggravated menacing reported at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Robyn Elser, 17, of Pleasant Avenue, Niles, on a warrant for theft.

Fraud: A $1,000 scam was reported at a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: Police arrested two juveniles accused of stealing makeup at Walmart.

Lost or stolen property: An Ohio temporary tag was reported lost or stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 6000 block of Abbott Avenue.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Louis McBride, 28, of Osborn Avenue, on a charge of domestic violence.

Theft: Police arrested Priscilla Neal, 55, of North Roanoke Avenue, on a charge of theft of $989.87 in merchandise from Walmart.

Theft: A rototiller was taken from Tractor Supply Co., 6225 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Sean Burnett, 21, of Harold Lane, on an unspecified warrant.

May 2

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Jeffrey Starr, 36, of Westminster Avenue, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Warrant: Police arrested Austin Chace, 22, of Woodland Trail, on warrants from Girard police and Trumbull County Sheriff’s office.

May 3

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted messages were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Bryant Drive.

Criminal damaging: A window was broken out at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A suspect stole $40 and two prescription pills from apartments in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.
