Mahoning Valley sales up in April for new, used cars

YOUNGSTOWN — New and used auto sales across the Mahoning Valley in April 2015 were up 0.4 percent from last April.

A total of 6,666 new and used cars were sold compared to 6,640 in April 2014, according to the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio Inc.

The data is based off titles processed at county title departments by the final business day of each month.

Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown, Taylor Kia in Boardman, and Sweeney Chevrolet in Boardman were the top-selling dealerships for new and used cars during the month.

The top three models for new cars sales were the Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and the Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze.
