Flower sale to support NOAS

Community volunteers for Northeast Ohio Adoption Services are raising funds for “Seven Bloomin’ Days Only Annual NOAS Spring Flower Sale” in Howland through Tuesday.
Mother’s Day gift baskets of flowering plants, lush hanging baskets of vibrant annuals, fragrant herbs and hardy perennials will be displayed. For a special request for a certain variety or color, call 330-856-5582, ext. 110, before Mother’s Day.
The sale will take place at the Hunter’s Square Plaza, 8700 E. Market St., two blocks east of Route 46 on old Route 82.
Flowers will be available daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit school-age children and teens in the child welfare system waiting for families to foster or adopt them through NOAS.

Wear purple to raise awareness for Lupus
Americans are asked to support Lupus awareness by wearing purple May 15.
Lupus is a disease that affects 1.5 million people in the United States.
The Trumbull-Mahoning Lupus Support group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Conference Room B.
