Boardman edges Barberton

BOARDMAN

Ashley Cornelius hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the eighth inning to score Addison Menosky with the winning run as the Boardman High softball team defeated Barberton, 2-1.

Cornelius pitched the top of the eighth inning to earn her first varsity victory. Lauren Gabriele pitched seven innings , giving up four hits and one unearned run

Sidney Aey tripled to start the fifth inning and Kristen Huck followed with a RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.
