YOUNGSTOWN

Two New Middletown men who pleaded guilty to charges of theft, burglary, robbery, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and being felons with guns have each been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Michael and Eric Lucicosky, both of East Calla Road, ages 32 and 36, respectively, drew the sentences Tuesday from visiting Judge Paul Mitrovich of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The judge said both men must serve five years in prison before they’re eligible for judicial release.

They were among 17 defendants indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury last Oct. 2 in a theft, burglary and robbery ring.

Prosecutors said the ring was responsible for car break-ins and burglaries in the Poland and Springfield area last summer, that were fueled by the drug trade.

Another defendant, Joseph Frampton, 25, of Halls Heights Avenue, pleaded guilty April 30 to obstructing justice, felonious assault and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and will be sentenced at 11:30 a.m. June 17.
